Max Jensen’s Maritime Painting c.1908 is all wind, waves, and birds that clearly didn’t get the memo about flying in formation. It’s the kind of seascape that feels less like a postcard and more like a weather report you can hear – salt air, chaos, and a sky full of attitude.
✷ HANDCRAFTED DETAILS
This isn’t one of those flimsy prints rattling around in a cheap frame. It’s made by hand, start to finish, using archival canvas and a solid hydrostone frame pulled from the mold of a rare antique. The whole thing has some weight to it, physically and otherwise. It looks like it’s already lived a life before landing on your wall.
• Archival canvas print with satin varnish (museum-quality, fade-resistant).
• Plaster relief frame, hand-poured, and finished in a vintage patina. Hydrostone plaster is made from mineral-based materials, not petroleum, and it’s biodegradable instead of persisting like plastic resins.
•Two finishes available: Aged gold, created with a real metal finish applied in the mold for warm, heirloom vibes, or classic black, with pigment mixed directly into the plaster for a deep, matte look that won’t chip or flake.
• At 1.6lbs, it has a satisfying bit of weight to it and feels solid rather than delicate, with pre-installed hanging hardware so it’s easy to hang.
