It started with an obsession: antique paintings. The kind that stare at you from a museum wall like they know something you don’t. I wanted to live with that kind of art - but I didn’t want to spend my life explaining that, no, I didn’t steal it from a manor house.
So I began making miniature reproductions - carefully printed, hand-varnished, and framed in molds taken from 19th-century originals. Each one is designed to feel like it fell out of time. Not trendy. Not ironic. Just beautifully strange.
I run Fable & Reverie as a one-person studio, which means I do everything: selecting the artwork, casting the frames, finishing each piece, and wrapping it like a secret worth opening. Every detail matters, because you’re not buying mass-produced decor. You’re adopting a tiny, dramatic masterpiece with unresolved emotions and excellent posture.
What makes my shop different? It’s not just the handmade frames or the historical accuracy (though I care deeply about both). It’s the feeling. These aren’t decorations. They’re characters. Small windows into another era. Slightly haunted. Endlessly curious. Framed with care- and just a little attitude.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you find something here that speaks to you - or at least watches you elegantly from across the room.
